What services does SS@MA provide?

SS@MA offers household professionals the tools and means necessary to secure the Washington metro area’s top positions. Our goal is to help you find your dream job and we will do this all without a fee to you! We ask that you complete our application; this helps us understand your work experience. You are then matched with the positions that require your skills and experience.

What is the process to get a position with SS@MA?

1. To begin a search for a position, contact our office to discuss your needs or if you prefer, fill out our on-line interest form and we will contact you within 2 days.
2. Once we confirmed that you meet our requirements, we will schedule you for an in-depth personal interview.
3. We can immediately suggest suitable positions based on your background that you have provided during the interview. To refer you to those employers, we will need a current resume and references. With your approval, references will be checked and your resume and references will be submitted for consideration to our clients.
4. Interviews are scheduled at the employer’s request.
5. Once you have accepted an offer for employment, we suggest a paid 2 - 3 day trial working interview to ensure the match is right. The employment offer is also contingent on your background security check meeting the client's approval. This will be done after an offer has been accepted. If the trial is not successful, you will have the opportunity to find another position through our service.

What kind of experience do I need to be placed through SS@MA?

Our clients are looking for candidates that have a history of success. They are seeking employees who will bring knowledge and proven skills to their job and come with verifiable experience. You need to have long-term professional experience. We need to speak with your previous employers for references. Most positions require that you have a driver's license and your own car. We also require that you have legal resident status to work in the United States.

How do clients/families find SS@MA?

We are pleased to say we have provided services for many families for a very long time.. Household requirements change over the years and families depend on us to evolve with their needs. Many of our new clients are referred to us by friends who have hired someone through our agency. When a client/family decides to register with us, they too complete an application that helps us understand their household needs.

We are available as a resource throughout your job search and interview process and will provide guidelines for successful interviewing techniques. When you find a position that matches your requirements, we assist you in the creation of a written job description. After placement, we want to continue our relationship with you and are available to answer any questions that may arise. Our Agency has on-going workshops available that you may attend. At the same time, we help you settle into your new position by putting you in touch with other service providers living and working in your area.
